As with many properties affected by expanding foam insulation, the issue created problems when the customer wanted to proceed with the sale of the property. Following inspection, a full new roof installation was recommended to provide a proper long-term solution.

Why the Customer Contacted R W Roofing Services

The customer contacted R W Roofing Services Ltd because expanding foam insulation had been installed between the roof rafters.

This had caused concern during the sale process, meaning the property could not proceed towards sale until the roof had been properly addressed. The customer needed the foam removed and the roof brought up to a suitable modern standard.

What We Found

The existing roof coverings needed to be removed so the expanding foam could be dealt with correctly. Once the foam was removed, the roof structure could be inspected and prepared for a new roofing system.

This was the right approach because the customer needed a durable, weather-resistant roof covering installed properly, rather than a short-term repair or partial fix.

The Work We Carried Out

Our team fully removed the existing roof coverings, including the expanding foam insulation between the rafters.

Once the foam had been carefully removed, the roof structure was inspected and prepared for the new roof covering. We then installed a complete new roof using Marley concrete plain tiles, selected to provide a traditional appearance while delivering a reliable and weather-resistant finish.

The new roof installation brought the property up to modern-day roofing standards and gave the customer a properly installed replacement roof.
